Ridge
Views Epic Tail ( Huck )- Huck is the son of
CH Ridge View No Fear MH ( Cool
). There are only 43 CH/MH’s in AKC history and Cool is the latest to
achieve this coveted title. ( fall of 07 ). Cool Finished his Championship
at only 12 months with three majors, including a specialty win. Huck is
co-owned with Donna Reece of Ridge View Labradors.
Huck’s Dam is
Ridge Views Nonspeakable ( Secret ), who is the daughter of
the famous
BISS CH Ridge View Frosty the Snoman CD JH ( Frosty ), who’s
career included, BOB at
Westminster
in 1999. He received BOB at the Twin Cities LRC Specialty in 1999,
was a multiple Sporting
Group
winner and ranked #3 Labrador (all breed) in 1999. His Dam CH Pine Edge
Ridge View Snobear was also truly a legend in her own time. Snobear is the
number one, top producing female in AKC history. Secret’s Dam,
CH Strongline’s Nonstop (Delta) is a Am Ch that was imported from Stongline
kennels in Finland. Delta has a proven tracking and field background on her
top side. Her sire is
Fieldvalley’s Fabianco from the world famous
Fieldvalley’s kennel of Norway.
Huck and Cool were both with pro
trainer Peggy Ramsey of Steal Shot Retrievers. Cool received his CH/MH
title and Huck achieved his JH title, then was turned over to Mad River to
continue his training and to hunt. He has become a favorite among training
and hunting partners. His gentle, laid
back attitude when not on duty are what make him a great hunting companion.
When the birds are finishing, his eyes are on them. When they start hitting
the ground he remains calm until sent, then turns into a hard charging,
can’t get there fast enough gundog. He is a great marker with good memory.
Handles well to the area of the fall, then uses his nose to finish the task.
Nothing turns a good hunt into a great hunt faster than watching a good
retriever work.
Huck is available for stud to approved
bitches. A $250. non-refundable deposit is required at the time of
breeding,
with a balance of $550. due when a litter of 3 or more pups are born and
